Technical Program Manager

Responsibilities

  • Hardware and Software R&D Project Planning and Management: Participate in project planning, assess project definitions, cost estimates, testing plans, execution requirements, scheduling, issue resolution, technical solutions, and resource coordination. Ensure timely and quality project delivery using development tools to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify risks and issues, propose solutions, and resolve technical bottlenecks and resource conflicts in cross-functional collaborations to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration and Communication: Act as a communication bridge between teams to ensure proper understanding and execution of requirements and goals. Regularly report project status and risks to senior management.
  • Project Documentation Management: Responsible for writing and managing project documents (e.g., schedules, requirement specifications, meeting notes, system architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams). Ensure knowledge continuity and sharing, plan meetings, and track progress.
  • Testing Tasks: DFM, DOE, Qualification plan, OK2xxx, FACA.
  • Understanding and Utilizing Processes: Interpret testing results, certification requirements, issue tracking, and act as a communication bridge to ensure consistent understanding across teams.
  • Developing Roadmaps: Create multi-phase development roadmaps and maintain ongoing communication with senior stakeholders across various levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or other STEM-related disciplines).
  • Over three years of experience in project management.
  • Familiar with consumer electronics, device software, and version control processes.
  • Experienced in all stages of the hardware/software development lifecycle (e.g., build, test, release).
  • Proficient with project management tools such as Notion, Jira, Trello, Airtable, etc.
  • Experienced working with hardware and software engineering teams in a technical environment.
  • Capable of working independently while also effectively collaborating with teams to achieve shared goals.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience in startups or the food & beverage industry.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, and strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively communicate with business units, management, and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiar with Java/Python programming languages.
  • Holds PMP, Scrum Master, or other project management certifications.
