Mechatronics Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, and build mechatronics systems for SHEN NONG SHI system, including actuators, sensing modules, and rapid prototypes.
  • Develop embedded firmware to enable communication and interaction with hardware components (micro-controllers, motor controllers, sensors).
  • Conduct system analysis and debugging of hardware and communication layers (e.g., UART, CAN, SPI, I2C).
  • Build test fixtures, verification platforms, and integration tools to support in-lab testing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with software, perception, and mechanical teams to ensure smooth system integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in robotic or electromechanical prototyping.
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, ESP32, Arduino) and real-time firmware development using C/C++.
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems, motors (DC, BLDC, servo), and sensor integration.
  • Proficient with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360), and experienced with hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Capable of working independently and collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ROS/ROS2, or similar robotic frameworks
  • Understanding of kinematics, dynamics, or motion control algorithms.
  • Experience using Python for calibration, automated testing, or data logging.
  • Exposure to machine vision, tactile sensors, or soft robotics technologies.
  • Knowledge of rapid prototyping processes (e.g., PCBA prototyping, 3D printing, small-batch manufacturing).
  • Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) processes and hands-on manufacturing line experience.
