Design and develop mechanical and mechatronic components for automated control and robotic systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create, analyze, and develop mechanical designs for SHEN NONG SHI system.
Communicate with vendors to identify, select, and procure materials and components suitable for our mechanical system.
Design system testing procedures and conduct reliability tests; conduct research to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or performance benefits for new mechatronic equipment.
Produce engineering drawings and documentation; participate in rapid prototyping.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams and vendors to ensure successful transition from design to full-scale production.
Requirements
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proficient in SolidWorks or related CAD/CAM tools, solid modeling, surface modeling, and sheet metal design.
Skilled in creating manufacturing drawings, 2D drafting, and knowledgeable in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Track record of taking products from concept to mass production.
Familiar with finite element analysis (FEA), risk assessment, material mechanics, and stress simulation.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience in early-stage hardware startups or the food service industry is a plus.
Familiarity with PLC controllers, Ubuntu OS, and depth cameras (e.g., RealSense).
Knowledge of ROS/ROS2, Python, Arduino, C++, and/or electromechanical system integration.
Understanding of heat transfer and thermodynamics.
Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) processes and hands-on manufacturing or production line involvement.
